許介文教授 (C. Ed Hsu) 是中華民國台灣台南市人。現任美國德州大學副教授[1],服務於休士頓醫學中心醫學資訊研究所及公共衛生學院。主持德州大學公衛資訊實驗室及負責公衛資訊研究所雙學位及輔系學程,兼任馬里蘭大學副教授。曾專任馬里蘭大學助理教授,教授現役駐外美軍研究所和大學部課程[2],主持及協同主持全美首次大型亞裔社區健康調查,包括馬里蘭州十三個亞裔族群的健康需求評估[3][4],以及美東第一個台灣裔族群社區健康調查及肝炎防治[8,9]。獲推選為全國病毒性肝炎委員會 (National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable, NVHR)任期三年的常任理事,代表亞裔社區及新移民來加強聯邦政府政策及推動國會立法10,11預防肝炎。教學研究服務於州立大學十餘年指導博碩士生,專長為醫療公衛資訊,教學研究和社區服務著重於自然和人為災害及傳染病預防[12-18],瞭解降低健康差距的政策[19-23]及社區醫學預防傳染病及慢性病[24-29]的研究,致力於政策研究來改善社會平等。除了專注於美國的學術專業外,亦研究國際衛生問題,包括台灣衛生,婦女健康及社會政策[30,31,37,39],對台灣民主[38]與對岸交流[32,33]及其防疫[34]政策亦有專文論述。
