F. Alice Yan, MD, PhD is Assistant Professor of University of Texas @ San Antonio, and affiliated research member of PHISTA Lab. She earned PhD degree from University of Maryland College Park with a focus on public and community health. She has co-authored in more than 20 peer-reviewed journals and was PI for a grant supported by the RWJF. |

Tuan D. Le, MD, MPH, DrPH |
Tuan D. Le, MD, MPH, DrPH is a chief bio-statistician of the PHISTA Lab and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Medicine/Infectious Disease, UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. Dr. Le served as a clinical research consultant/biostatistician for Dallas VA Medical Center and Dallas VA Research Corporation, Inc, in HIV antiretroviral treatment regimens. He served as clinical trial project coordinator specializing in biostatistical design and analysis at the Health Prevention Research Information Medical (SPRIM USA). He also worked as an independent research consultant for several doctoral students and organizations to conduct research in type 2 diabetes, physical activity, health outcome research, medical malpractice, and human trafficking issues. He earned Dr.PH degree in clinical research and MPH degree in health management and policy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and MD degree in medicine from Vietnam. He worked as a physician and clinical instructor in infectious diseases and epidemiology in Vietnam. He has been working with the diverse refugee, immigrant population in Dallas-Forth Worth area for more than 10 years. His dissertation focused on clinical outcomes research and thesis topic focused on barriers to access health care among Vietnamese refugee and immigrant population in Dallas-Fort Worth. His research interests are hepatitis B, genetic factors effect on treatments and vaccinations for HIV/AIDS, health outcome research, and applied clinical research informatics. | Jerry A. Miller, PhD |
Dr. Jerry Miller is an epidemiologist whose work has encompassed cancer research and health disparities. His graduate training was at the UT School of Public Health with a concentration in cancer epidemiology and biological sciences, and post-doctoral positions at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta and Baylor College of Medicine. He has researched prostate cancer disparities in Texas, cancer cluster detection and public health preparedness. His interests are cancer, molecular epidemiology, translational research and epidemiologic and statistical methods including spatial analysis. Dr. Miller has co-authored publications on cancer, health disparities and public health preparedness.
